Eddy Village Green

This was accomplished by designing sixteen separate 8,600 square foot, 12-bed “houses.” Within each house every resident is provided with a private bedroom and bathroom and shares common space with other residents. These common spaces include a Living Room, Den, Dining Room, Kitchen, Spa, Porch, and Patio opening onto a fenced-in yard which residents have access to at all times.

architecture+ worked together with the Owner and the New York State Department of Health throughout the design process and was able to successfully procure a Certificate of Need for the new skilled nursing facility model. architecture+ was commissioned by The Eddy to design and oversee construction of this $30 million dollar multi-phased project. Construction took place over a three-year period and was Owner occupied during all phases of the project. The scope of work included hazardous material abatement, demolition, renovations, and temporary construction as well as new construction.

architecture+ was further commissioned to provide comprehensive interior design services for all of the sixteen houses. Four interior themes were established to guide the finishes selections, furniture, and accessories. The residents have the opportunity to choose a home with a Shaker, Art Deco, Traditional, or Adirondack theme.
