Eddy Memorial Geriatric Dining Room

architecture+ designed a 3,000 square foot addition to the 42,000 square foot facility to expand the existing dining rooms and add a new dining room. We also designed a bridge that provides direct access to the dining room from the assisted living wing. Previously, the dining facilities had been underutilized by these residents because there was no direct, enclosed route. architecture+ designed the interior space to transition smoothly from the existing facility, but also created a fresh and bright new space. Interior finishes and lighting fixtures were selected to maintain the Eddy’s warm and comfortable environment for the residents with plenty of natural light. The final result is a dining room which offers intimacy and high capacity at the same time.
