INVEST Nanotechnology Incubator

Russell Sage College|Troy, New York
architecture+ designed the conversion of John Paine Hall to be the home of INVEST (Incubator for Nanotechnology Ventures, Emerging Sciences, and Technologies) on the Russell Sage College campus in Troy, New York. Evident Technologies, an emerging company in nanofluoroscopic products, is the first occupant. Renovations include the development of biotechnology, analytical and nanotechnology laboratories, and associated spaces. To expand laboratory space and facilitate collaboration between academics and ongoing research and development, Paine Hall was joined to Science Hall with a glass enclosure that also houses an elevator. This is the first business incubator project located at a women’s college in the country.
