Collegiate Welcome Center
Central New York

architecture+ prepared the feasibility study for a new collegiate Welcome Center. This proposed 10,000 square foot building will serve as the “front door” for the Campus and house the Admissions Department and the main reception venue for campus fund raising events as well as provide a new iconic public face for the College. The building is proposed to be located on a significant site at the north end of the main academic mall (shown above) with grand views of both the Campus and the valley to the south.

The space program includes a Reception Area for welcoming visitors and guests to the Campus; a Presentation Area for making presentations to prospective students, guests and donors; an Interview Area to house the Admissions Department and meet with prospective students; a Processing Area for producing and managing admissions related marketing materials and mailings; and a Support Area to service the building and support the staff.

The main Reception Lobby and Theatre will be located adjacent to one another and serve as the central iconic architectural feature of the building. These combined spaces will accommodate fund raising events, dinners, and presentations to prospective students and their families.
